Bomb disposal officer assassinated in #Benghazi

Unknown gunmen murdered a Libyan bomb disposal officer in Benghazi on Friday when he was on his way to Friday prayers.
Colonel Mustafa al-Mugrabi had more than 30 rounds shot at him while others were able to escape the gunfire.  Benghazi Joint Security Room spokesman Colonel Abdullah Al-Zaidi said al-Mugrabi, also part of Benghazi’s criminal investigation team, was killed instantly from injuries sustained from the attack.
Retired judge Muftah Mohamed Khafeefi was assassinated on Monday in Benghazi by a group of unknown gunmen.
The 79 year old was shot while leaving a mosque after morning prayers and died from his wounds en route to the hospital.
Both are believed to be politically motivated assassinations linked to a whole string of others in the east of Libya including army and police officers, lawyers, judges, political activists and journalists, many of whom were killed outside mosques.
