#libya #GNC spokesman talks ‘political isolation’

The spokesman for the General National Congress (GNC) said that the political isolation law was a political demand in Libya, more so than a popular demand from the Libyan streets.
Omar Hmaidan explained in an interview with Middle East News Agency Sunday that the GNC has the idea of political isolation based on the constitutional principal, which provides equality between the Libyans and at the same time protects the February 17th revolution.
Last week, Libya’s mufti Al-Sadick Ghiryani addressed the controversial issue, calling for citizens to go out in the streets by the thousands and put pressure on Congress to quickly pass a law of political isolation.
“We differentiate between the Mufti as a Fatwa, the mufti as a person, a citizen, a Libyan biased of the Libyan revolution, and should not overlap those things. This is well and good, but any violence is unacceptable,” said Hmaidan.
