A Libyan foreign minister official has confirmed that an
armed group of men have surrounded the Ministry of foreign affairs
offices.
The men are demanding the “cleansing” of former Gaddafi government officials from the foreign office.
According to Al Arabiya armed groups have surrounded the Libyan foreign ministry base from all sides and have prevented workers from entering.
The roadway area around MOFA has been sealed off by several of AA trucks.
Reuters new agency reports that at least 20 pick-up trucks loaded with anti-aircraft guns blocked the roads while men armed with AK-47s and sniper rifles directed the traffic away from the building, witnesses said.
