Ghanaian coach, Maxwell Konadu said his team was ready for Libya and was expecting a great atmosphere when the two sides meet on Saturday in the Chan final at Cape Town stdium.

Konadu said his team had been stretched during the semi-final encounter with Nigeria which went into extra time and had to be decided on penalties.

“Fatigue might have taken its toll but we are ready for the final. We want to win this one for Ghanaians and for our South Africans fans,” he said.

The mild-mannered mentor said they were ready for any circumstance.

“If we win during regulation time, fine but if we are stretched into extra-time, it is still fine with us. We are ready for any circumstances,” he said.

He said the red card his team received in the match against Nigeria was not a true reflection of his team’s physical aspect of play.

“We are not that physical. We are technically better than the physical aspect,” he said.

“Libya are fast and have skilful players but we have planned for the encounter, we cannot afford to throw this away. We have to come out victorious. But we have to work hard for the win. This win should be for all Ghanaians.”

Konadu said Ghana had good time in Bloemfontein in which the people of Free State had shown their love for the Black Stars.

“They motivated us and I have discovered the people of South Africa naturally love Ghanaians and this started during the 2010 World Cup when they coined the name BaGhana BaGhana. Since then there has been sentimental attachment between the two nations.”

“We feel at home playing in South Africa and South Africans just love us,” he concluded.
