An elderly, sick woman and her daughter were killed on Friday
whilst travelling in an ambulance from Zintan to Tripoli to receive
treatment.
The gunfire came from a fake checkpoint, a Local Council spokesman said to the LANA, which was set up on a road from al-Aziziya. Both the driver and the mother’s sister were injured in the attack but survived.
The identity of the killers remains unknown. An investigation is underway to try and bring them to justice for this heinous crime.
