More car bombs in Benghazi but no one hurt

By Ahmed Elumami.
Tripoli, 16 September 2013:
There were two car bomb attempts in Benghazi this morning. Both, fortunately, were unsuccessful and there were no casualties. One targeted a lawyer, the other a Libyan army patrol vehicle.
The lawyer, Jibril Al-Moqasbi, had a lucky escape. According to the spokesman of Benghazi Joint Security Room, Abdullah Zaidi, Moqasbi’s car “blew up in front of his house near Abu Ghoula Mosque in Benghazi’s downtown Al-Birka district while he was preparing himself to start his day”.
Zaidi told the Libya Herald that the vehicle was completely destroyed.
The another attempt, Zaidi said, happened near the Al-Jara roundabout in Al-Salmani Al-Sharqi district. Again, no one was hurt but  the vehicle was substantially damaged.
On Saturday, a man was killed on Benghazi’s Airport Road when ammunition in his vehicle exploded.
It is believed that most of the car bomb attacks in Benghazi are the work of a single bomber, who is said to be extremely skilled.
