19,000 police locally trained, some will be trained abroad – #Zeidan #libya

Tripoli, 12 September 2013:
In a passing remark at yesterday’s press conference, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan revealed that 19,000 members of the police and “a few thousand” (he did not specify) from the army were trained but that their “effectiveness” was found not to be of the standard required.
As a result, he explained, it was necessary to train them abroad. He revealed that yesterday committees started receiving the graduates for training, who will remain in Tripoli for three weeks.
Zeidan explained that those from the police or army who pass the local exams will then be sent abroad for further training.
