Majority of east against federalism – #Zeidan #libya

By Sami Zaptia.
Tripoli, 29 August 2013:
Prime Minister Ali Zeidan revealed that he has been in wide consultation and discussion with tribal elders and leaders and a wide range of representatives of a cross section of society in eastern Libya, and that “the majority reject federalism”.
Zeidan said that “most are for the legitimacy of the GNC and for national unity”.
Speaking at Wednesday’s (28 August) press conference, Zeidan implied that there is no widespread support for federalism  – including the vocal minority and the members of the Petroleum Facilities Guard that are holding up oil production by use of force.
