The Libyan Muslim Brotherhood has condemned the spate of bombings, systematic assassinations and acts of sabotage that have hit the city of Benghazi over the last few weeks.
In a statement released yesterday, the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood said that it considered these as a dangerous escalation aimed at spreading chaos and aborting the February 17th Revolution.
It called on all Libyans to exercise caution and awareness of the seriousness of the situation and the need for Libyan cohesion and the need to stand as one to address the plot which seeks to reproduce the former regime.
It stressed the need to support the legitimate institutions that emerged from the (2012) elections and democratic mechanism. It called on Libyans to protect this as it is the cornerstone in the construction of the new Libya.
Finally, the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood said in the statement that it warned of the danger of being dragged into any justification to overthrow the legitimate institutions.
