The Libyan government have given foreign labour until July 6th to leave the country or gain legal entry to the country before they begin deporting the workers back to their home countries.The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, Abdurrazak Altamtam, said “we will deport anone illegal migrant workers.”
On an earlier request, the Ministry said all illegal workers who entered Libya prior to April 4th should become legal workers by completing the correct procedures before June 5th.
However, it is believed there are two million illegal workers in Libya, most of them being Egyptian.
