The Maltese Prime Minister will visit Tripoli on Sunday to
hold talks with Libyan PM Ali Zeidan on developing political and
economic ties between the two countries.
PM Joseph Muscat is keen on strengthening ties with Libya to build a stronger relationship. As Malta’s main power station is fuelled by oil, they must switch to gas in the near future and will be searching for a geographically convenient supplier.
Other areas of discussion are reported to be visas and the demarcation of the seabed for oil exploration, while Malta will offer their expertise in education, healthcare, and tourism.
