#libya Health Minister announces establishment of nine hospitals

Health Minister Nouredine Doughman has announced the establishment of nine hospitals in across Libya as part of a development to improve medical services, in association with The British International Hospitals Group (IHG).
In a statement made to the Libyan News Agency, Doughman said the hospitals will be constructed in nine different cities and regions across Libya, and will provide approximately 120 to 150 beds, in a project reported to be worth over $1.5 billion.
20 different British and Libyan medical units consisting of doctors, consultants and administrators will run the hospitals and assist in the training of newly qualified medical staff.
The establishment of the hospitals is part of the bilateral cooperation between Libya and Great Britain.
Medical crews will be 20 medical crew and Libyan doctors, consultants and administrators to run the hospitals, supervise, and train Libyan medical trainee and qualified, he said actual work started in a number of cities where surveys prepared for these areas, which will take place in these hospitals and the implementation period not to exceed 15 months. The establishment of these hospitals is part of bilateral cooperation between Libya and Britain.
