The head of the Justice and Construction party said that his
party will not submit a candidate for the presidency of the General
National Congress successor to Mohammed Magariaf, who is expected to
resign.
Mohammed Sowan explained that the candidate must be elected members of the National Conference of the Libyan political blocs.
He said that Dr. Salah Almakhozom, who is a member of the Justice and construction party, is already the Second Deputy Chairman of the National Congress.
“We limit ourselves to this, and we want to enable other Libyan political blocs and independents in the parliament to put forth for its own candidate for the presidency.”
