Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bashir Atalay, arrived in
Tripoli on Saturday to hold cooperative talks between the two countries
on an array of topics.
Atalay is due to hold a lecture on Sunday evening organised jointly by the Libyan Centre for Research and Development and the Turkish foreign ministry’s think tank SAM, the Centre for Strategic Research.
This follows the Turkish deputy’s visit to Tunis on Friday, where he met with Prime Minister Ali Larayedh. Atalay announced Turkey will contribute to the democratic transition, and also recalled his country has issued a $500 million loan.
