Horse racing reborn in #Libya

Libya has staged its first horse race since the fall of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2011.
Tripoli’s Abu Sittah track, built in the 1930s, was used on Friday for the race.
Amer Ahmed Salem, who won the 2000m race aboard Aziz WaGhaly said afterwards: “Horse racing was oppressed but there are good changes now. We would like to congratulate this new regime for its great achievements
