Ambassador to #Egypt puts pressure on extradition of #Gaddafi loyalists #libya

The Libyan Ambassador to Egypt has threatened to sever ties with the neighbouring country if an agreement to extradite loyalist to the former regime is put in place.
In an interview with an Egyptian newspaper, Mohamed Fayez Jibril claimed Libya insists on the deporation of Ahmed Gaddaf al-Dam, cousin of Muammar Gaddafi. The Libyan government are adamant he should face trial in Libya, not in Egypt, where he claims to hold citizenship.
Jibril warned of the negative repercussions surrounding the issue, as Libya would boycott Egypt.
Jibril denied any financial agreement being a bribe to the Egyptian government to force the extradition on wanted Gaddafi loyalists, claiming the Libyan government does not pay money for criminals.
