#libya Former revolutionaries besiege Libyan premier’s office

TRIPOLI, Libya — The prime minister’s office was besieged by 200 former freedom fighters calling for his resignation.  The non-violent confrontation demand that PM Ali Zidan step down in accordance with the controversial political isolation law which bans members of the former regime (who served anywhere from 1969-2011) from the political arena. Zidan served as a diplomat under Gaddafi.
After a recent influx of militias from around the country congregating in Tripoli, the PM’s convoy has been seen moving around with more security guards than usual.
