A member of Egypt’s Ministry of International Cooperation,
Kamel Gergs, reported there was no official documentation to prove Ahmed
Gaddaf al-Dam is an Egyptian citizen.
Gergs’ added that even if proved to be true Egyptian, Gaddaf al-Dam will still be handed over to Libya, as a lesson for the crimes committed against the Libyan people. He was confident Gaddaf al-Dam did not carry Egyptian citizenship when he committed the crimes.
Speaking from Gaddaf al-Dam’s corner, his lawyer remains adamant his official nationality is Egyptian, and the real name on his birth certificate is ‘Jumah’.
