#Obama Government to Send Intelligence Reports on #Libya to Senate

Former Nebraska Republican Senator Chuck Hagel, President Obama's choice for defense secretary, the man Israel does not like.

Obama administration has agreed to turn over emails and intelligence materials about the attack on Benghazi consulate to the US Senate Intelligence Committee.

Huff Post quoted Tommy Vietor, spokesman for the US National Security Council, on Friday as saying that the White House talked with members of Congress about their requests regarding both the Benghazi attacks and the use of drone strikes in Libya.

But it is still not confirmed whether the Obama government has granted those requests.

The White House has said it has already turned over more than 10,000 pages of Benghazi-related documents, along with witness interviews, staff briefings and hours of testimony.

The 11 September attack on the consulate in Benghazi killed the US ambassador and three Americans. The opponents of Obama administration are asking why the administration was clear about whether the assault was a terrorist attack or an incident touched off by Libyan protests over an anti-Muslim video.

However, the real reason behind the Republican insistence on not accepting any explanation of what happened in Benghazi by the White House is motivated by other factor than to know what really happened in that day of 11 September.

The Republicans have threatened to hold up the nominations of members of President Barack Obama's second-term national security team, including the choice of Chuck Hagel for the Pentagon and Brennan for CIA director, both are not accept by Israel to hold these vital national security offices.
