Miss America is crowned in Las Vegas

It is said you can't put a price on beauty, except in America, where its worth $50,000 to be exact.
That’s how much New York's Mallory Hagan scooped after winning Miss America on Saturday - and she didn't even wish for world peace.
Instead the 23-year old from Brooklyn, said she wanted to end child sex abuse as she beat off 52 competitors to take the coveted crown in a sparkling finale in Las Vegas.
She won the judges hearts by talking about New York's un-dampened spirit in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and opposed proposals to put armed guards in schools following the Newtown shootings in December.
Miss Hagan will now tour the country's after dinner speaking circuit raising money for a children's charity before using her winnings to get a degree in cosmetics and fragrance marketing.
