# Libya and #Tunisia to start shipping joint shipping lane

The [Libyan] Transport Ministry announced in a statement Friday in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, that a shipping line is to be created between Tunisia and Libya to be provided officially on February 17 this year by the Tunisian Shipping Company, CTN.
The Tunisian news agency, TAP said that establishment of this line was the focus of debates held Friday between Transport Minister Abdelkarim Harouni and Libyan Secretary of State in charge of Land Transport and Roads Mohamed Al-Ayib.
The meeting was also an occasion to examine means to boost co-operation between the Tunisian Shipping Company and the Libyan National Shipping Company, concerning the rent of crude oil transport ships between the Skhira port (central east) and that of Bizerte (north).
The same source underlined that this co-operation will be finalised by signing an agreement between the respective companies.
The talks on Friday also provided an occasion for both sides to evoke the co-operation fields between Tunisia and Libya in the sectors of land, air and sea transports.
The Tunisian side voiced readiness to benefit Libya of its expertise in matters of sea administration organisation and management of commercial ports.
