Civil societies in Libya called for protests in the capital
on Friday, rebelling against protests causing the closure of oil fields
and ports, and power outages that have struck Tripoli.
In a statement received on Friday morning, activists said the disruptions will have a heedless impact on the daily lives of Libyans.
The current state of the country is fuelling discord between the public, those who revolted to bring justice and equality to Libya, and the government who continue to fuel criticism thrown their way.
Progress has come to a halt due to detrimental activity, which continues to affect the economy, the statement said.
Activists also hold the current Libyan government responsible for not find solutions to the problems. In a response to public outrage at Libya’s economic and political fragility, peaceful protests took place on Friday in an attempt to speed up government response.
