The meeting focused on how to restart stalled housing projects and the possibility of setting up various tourism projects within the city.
Al Bayda is located nearby Shahat, which was an ancient Greek colony and then a Roman city and is the oldest and most important of the five Greek cities in the region.
It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Eastern Libya situated on lush green mountains overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
According to Musa Arifi, a local council member from al Bayda, they also discussed the budget for local council and the electoral process for the municipality.
