Brigadier Abdul-Khaliq Ibrahim el-Senussi visited soldiers wounded
in southwestern airbase that was attacked last week, which lead to 2
deaths.
Senussi visited wounded soldiers in an intensive care unit and a therapeutic clinic in Tripoli.
The airbase, which is 45 kilometers north of the city of Sabha, was attacked more than 150 gunmen according to military spokesman Saad al-Orfi.
The attack, which took place at dawn on Saturday, targeted pilots assigned to protect the border against smuggling operations.
A colonel, Tayarmosi Rizallah Awami, and soldier Sami Mohammed Abdullah Barasi were killed in the attack.
Al-Orfi identified the assailants as Libyan but said an investigation is underway to determine who they were.
