Health Minister Dr. Nurideen Abdulhamid Dagman, has
instructed the commission to contract outside specialists in various
medical sectors, to improve Libyan health care in the next two months.
During a meeting on Monday morning with the Foreign Minister, they discussed the persisting problems in hospitals, including lack of workforce and supplies, and the need to improve ambulances and maintenance.
Doctors from India and the Philippines have recently entered Libya, while the Health Minister pledges to bring more to increase the quality of health facilities readily available to all Libyans from east to west.
Monday also saw protests take place in Tripoli outside the Health Ministry, where student doctors and hospital workers demanded security in health facilities, to assure the safety of patients and doctors.
