Sunday afternoon saw the arrival of the first passenger jet
since the revolution at Sirte Airport, as the Airbus SRC9 coming from
the capital, Tripoli landed.
30 passengers arrived including a member of the General National Congress, Saad Ben Sharada, and . They were presented with flowers upon arrival in celebration, as management of Sirte Airport warmly greeted the arrival. The pilot and aircraft staff were shown appreciation for their work on relaunching the flight route. 34 passengers then traveled on the plane back to Tripoli.
