SEOUL, Aug. 17 (Yonhap) -- With a South Korean Navy destroyer carrying its last batch of South Korean citizens out of Libya on Sunday, the country completed its evacuation mission in the war-ravaged African country, a foreign ministry official said.
After leaving the Libyan port of Tripoli, the 4,500-ton Navy destroyer Munmu the Great, carrying 18 South Korean citizens as well as 86 foreign nationals, arrived at Malta's Valletta port at around 8:00 a.m. (local time), the high-ranking official said on condition of anonymity.
