Russia has carried out a contract on supplies of Khrizantema-S anti-tank missile systems to the Libyan army
KOLOMNA, February 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia has carried
out a contract on supplies of Khrizantema-S anti-tank missile systems
to the Libyan army, director-general and general designer of Kolomna’s
Machine-Building Design Bureay Valery Kashin told ARMS-TASS.
“We’ve fulfilled the obligations and supplied the systems to our promoter. Jointly with Rosoboronexport we’ve concluded another contract to supply the Khrizantema systems to another country,” Kashin said.
He declined to specify the number of the missile systems that had been given to Libya.
In the meantime, Jane’s Defence Weekly reports that information on the arrival in Libya of 10 Khrizantema missile vehicles has been put on the Facebook social network on September 24, 2013.
Photos of the Libyan army’s personnel have been made public. It is still unknown if the new Libyan government has to make additional payments before the supplies of equipment, the weekly writes.
