Libya _Partial eclipse over Libya on Sunday afternoon&

Libya.tv
A partial eclipse of the sun is due to cast over Libya on Sunday afternoon between the hours of 2-4pm, according to the Centre of Astronomy.
It has been labelled as a ‘hybrid’ eclipse, which usually starts and ends as an annular eclipse but appears as a total eclipse in the middle. However, today’s eclipse is rare as it starts as an annular eclipse and ends as a total eclipse.
A warning has been put out to those who may try and attempt to stare at the eclipse with the naked eye as it can cause sufficient damage to eye sight, stressing the need to wear sunglasses with protective lenses. Another simple method is the use of a pinhole projection.
Libya’s last eclipse was in March 2006. Sunday’s will be visible at various spots over Libya
