Libya al-Ahrar TV presenter Abdel Wahab Mleetan is said to be
in good health and not missing in suspicious circumstances, after he
was thought to have been kidnapped on Wednesday.
The television station apologises for a misinterpretation of events. However, Libya al-Ahrar is thankful to all those who raised concern over Mleetan’s apparent disappearance.
There was no contact with Mleetan since Wednesday. Colleagues raised concern after realising his phone was switched off and alerted security in Tripoli.
Libya’s security is fragile, and in recent months journalists have become targets of kidnaps
