The Italian firm Eni is remaining committed to continue oil production inside Libya, said CEO Paolo Scaroni.
When asked if the security situation has affected the companies work, Scaroni described it as a “quieter period.”
Libya’s plummeting oil production is hoping to get back on track soon with key oil fields in the west, El Sharara restarting this week.
A Libyan official told Reuters he expected production should be back to normal at Sharara by Friday.
However, oil fields in the east such as Es Sider, Ras Lanuf, Brega and Hariga remain closed until demands of the protesters are met by the government.
