A criminal investigator from the eastern city of Benghazi was assassinated on Tuesday after a car bomb exploded.
Imraja al-Oraibi died from injuries sustained soon after he arrived at Jalaa Hospital, Colonel Abdullah Zaidi said.
A number of assassinations involving gunmen and car bombs have become a regular occurrence in the east of Libya, aimed at army and police officers, lawyers, judges, political activists and journalists.
