Car bomb leaves Colonel critical in #Benghazi

A car bomb seriously wounded a special forces colonel on Saturday night in Benghazi, leaving the victim in a critical condition. 
Spokesman of Benghazi’s Joint Security Room, Abdullah Saidi, said Colonel Alaa Ahmed Fitouri was seriously injured in the car bomb attack, and his wife who accompanied him has been left with minor injuries.
Benghazi, the cradle of Libya’s 2011 revolution, has been subjected to a series of bombings and assassinations aimed at military, judiciary, human rights and policing senior figures.
On Thursday, military prosecutor Yousef al-Asifer and his brother died as a result of wounds inflicted from the homemade device that was place under their car.
Last week, unknown gunmen murdered a Libyan bomb disposal officer in Benghazi on Friday when he was on his way to prayers. Colonel Mustafa al-Mugrabi had more than 30 rounds shot at him while others were able to escape the gunfire.
On Monday 19th August, retired judge Muftah Mohamed Khafeefi, 79, was assassinated Benghazi by a group of unknown gunmen, also when leaving mosque after leaving morning prayers...
