The funeral of Judge Mohammed Naguib, head of the
Criminal Division of the Court, took place on Monday in Derna, after he
was assassinated by unknown gunmen on Sunday.
He was buried in the cities central cemetery, joining fallen martyrs of the revolution.
A large number of mourners attended the funeral including members of the judiciary, judges, and prosecutors among family and friends of Judge Mohammed Naguib.
LANA quoted the head of the Court of Cassation in Green Mountain province, Abdel-Aziz al-Trabilsi, as saying Judge Mohammed Naguib was shot dead in a drive-by shooting in front of the courthouse.
