In
a few days' time, June 3-5, MEED and BM Libya will be organising a
three-day conference at the Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli, titled Libya
Projects 2013. The event, that is to be held under the patronage of the
General National Congress of Libya is aimed at highlighting the key
developments, opportunities and projects in Libya across various
critical industries with involvement from around 300 key individuals.
The organisers of the Libya Projects report tht they have received patronage from the General National Congress, the National Oil Corporation, te Ministry of Communication and Informatics, th Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, and the Libyan Businessmen Council, as well as the Central Bank in Libya. Senior Government officials, delegations and trade associations from around the world are also attending and speaking at the conference. So far, the following speakers have confirmed their participation: Juma Attiga, Vice President of General National Congress, Libya; Awad al-Baraasi, the country's Deputy Prime Minister, Ali Hussein Al- Sharif, Minister of Housing and Utilities, AlSaddek Omar Elkaber, Governor, Central Bank of Libya, Libya, Ali A. Ibrahim, Deputy Minister a the Ministry of Housing and Utilities, Dr. Khalil El-Arroudi, Chairman GECOL, Mahmoud Bashir Ajaj, Chairman, Housing and Infrastructure Board, Ministry of Housing and Utilities, and Salem El- Talhi, Director of Finance, Admin and Services, Ministry of Oil and Gas. MEED and BM Libya have previously run a series of highly successful Libya focused events in both Dubai and Istanbul, which have included significant participation and support from the Energy and Non-energy related sectors in Libya.
