Libyan Naval Forces received thirty rubber boats which will
be used for patrol and to guard bases, ports and vital installations.
According to the spokesman of the Navy Colonel sailor Ayoub Omar Kassem, the boats are French-made type (Salinger), and that this is the first installment of a total of fifty boats of various sizes (from 3.5 meters to 12 meters), and that the boats will be distributed to all marine Special forces across Libya’s shoreline.
He added that a number of the boats are armored and also have the technology and equipment neccesary to carry out combat missions.
The Navy special forces will conduct a free demonstration of some of these boats Tuesday, at five o’clock in the evening in Tripoli’s sea port basin and the basin corresponding to the martyrs’ Square in Tripoli.
