#Ziedan makes surprise visit to #Algeria

Prime Minister Ali Zeidan arrived in Algeria Tuesday just hours after the French Embassy in Tripoli was attacked by unknown assailants, this according to Libya Al Ahrar.
Zeidan met with Algerian Prime Minister Abdel Malik Sallal where they discussed security relations between the North African countries.
The surprise visit, which was not announced the Libyan government, fueled speculation that the embassy attack might have links to the January Amenas attack in Algeria in which 800 people were held hostage and 39 foreigners were killed.
Security personnel had initially linked the bombings to extremist militants in Mali, in response to French intervention in Northern Mali, although both the Libyan and Algerian governments have stayed mum pending an investigation.
Mali, like Libya, has been struggling with security breaches linked to extremist Islamist groups.
