A teacher who was beaten and stabbed outside the school he
worked at, remains in hospital while the school may reopen on Wednesday
following a week of closure due to the incident, according to the Libya Herald.
Khalifa Amari taught at all-girls Nassaim Al-Hurriya School on 20th Street in central Benghazi (previously Al-Masira Al-Kubra School), and was viciously attacked by a gang of youths who were harassing female students, causing Amari to intercept.
After apologies from the fathers of the knife attackers to the school and victim, the school have reopened, the paper claims.
Amari remains in hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds.
