Tripoli, 23 April 2013:
The appeals court has refused the appeal by Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz Milad Hassan Werfalli against the Integrity Commission’s decision to disbar him from Congress. Werfalli, one of the representatives from Tripoli’s Bu Sleem district, was ordered to be removed in February. He was the second Congress member from Bu Sleem to be disbarred.
The court also refused the appeal of the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Justice, Sharif Muhammad Azhari. He was disbarred on 26 March.
Both can still appeal to the Supreme Court before the ban becomes absolute.
The Commission meanwhile announced bans on the following:

- Khalifa Abdulsalam Ramadan Kaal, Director of the Audit Bureau Office, Al-Jmail.
- Omar Muftah Saadi Member of the Board of Development Bank.
- Nasser Ahmed Ali Akila, head of the Saleh Buasir School in Sirte.
