In a press statement made following his visit to Libya, Britain will help improve Libya’s Police College headquarters, assist the problem with unemployment, and help provide vocational training for the youth. This would help create courses to guide students to a more diverse career path.
Duncan expressed the need to create employment centres and encourages the diversification of non oil based projects. The total amount given in grants will be £2.5 million.
Although the government reported unemployment to be at 15% last month, the figure is likely to be around the 30% mark and rife among youth.
