French President Francois Hollande said Tuesday that Libya
must quickly clarify how the French embassy in Tripoli came to suffer a
car bomb attack that left two French security guards injured.
“France expects the Libyan authorities to ensure that all possible light is shed on this unacceptable act so that the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice,” Hollande said in a statement.
He added that the attack in Tripoli targets not only France but “all countries in the international community engaged fighting terrorism.”
