Tripoli, 26 April 2013:
A court in Benghazi has ordered that the city’s Hawari hospital be returned to the ownership of the Social Security Fund.
The hospital which opened in 1976 was originally owned by the fund but was transferred to the Ministry of Health in 1983.
It has been agreed that it will be transferred back at the end of the year. The delay is to allow an ordered changeover of administrative staff. In the meantime, all staff will continue to be paid by the Ministry of Health.
