The British embassy has halted work in Libya until
further notice, after the French embassy was attacked on Tuesday morning
in Tripoli.
They will remain closed for the next few days, Chinese news agency Xinhua quoted an embassy member of staff who requested anonymity.
The bomb caused destruction to the building and the
surrounding wall, also blowing up two parked vehicles outside the French
embassy.
Two security guards were injured in the blast, and one young girl who is a local resident to the Garagesh area of Tripoli.
As an active force of the Libyan revolution, the British believe they
may well be another target for those responsible for the attack,
however other foreign embassies will continue work as usual.
