Libya's former interim leader Mustafa Abdul-Jalil on Friday had a
meeting between closed doors in the Turkish capital, Ankara, with
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
The two officials are reported to have discussed the general situation in Libya and the upcoming visit of the Libyan Prime Minister Dr Ali Zidan to Turkey next week.
Diplomatic sources in Turkey said that after his meeting with Abdul-Jalil, the Turkish minister held a phone conversation with his Italian counterpart Giulio Terzi.
Both ministers discussed the developments in Libya as well as the Syrian issue.
It was also reported that Friday was most busy for the Turkish Minister as he also had a meeting with his Greek counterpart Dimitris Avramapilous. Afterwards, Davutoglu said that a great process of positive change was taking place in Turkish-Greek relations.
He further indicated that a great psychological change, a revolution, and a change in paradigm was taking place in Turkish-Greek relations. He underlined that Turkey was pleased with such a development.
He said; “Our works are designed to bring closer the peoples of Turkey and Greece to each other, promote friendly relations and turn the Aegean into a 'lake of friendship' in a new period of relations.”
