Libya's General National Congress (GNC) on Tuesday discussed the matter
of issuing a political isolation resolution against loyalists of former
leader Mummar Gaddafi.
The resolution would be targeting Gaddafi loyalists who had run state institution, destructed the country's political life, killed people or stolen public money.
Many people have called for such a resolution in order to safeguard the fruits of "revolution," referring to the toppling of long-term leader Gaddafi in October 2011.
Salah Massoud, a GNC member, told Xinhua that some 125 GNC members voted in favor of issuing the resolution, with a committee to be formed to study the case.
